Days of Our Lives predictions enter 2026 filled with drama and surprises. EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord), despite their rocky start, seem to be on the verge of a deep romance. Meanwhile, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf)'s budding relationship with Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) is poised to become serious, though the longevity of their love remains uncertain. Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz), a troubled character, is predicted to escape from Bayview and kidnap Trey DiMera (no actor announced). Lexi Carver (Renée Jones), thought to be dead, might emerge from EJ and Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton)'s lab, only to face a tragic end once more.
DOOL predictions consider Phillip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) might be headed for an engagement, but the potential return of Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) could complicate matters. In another shocking twist, Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) may return to Salem with Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson)'s baby, causing turmoil in his relationship with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein). Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis), Ari Horton (Harper and Sydnee Udell), and Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) are also set to face their own conflicts.
Predictions for Days of our Lives suggest the new year could also see Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) relocating to Boston with his children, Thomas DiMera (Cary Christopher) and Charlotte DiMera (Autumn Gendron), as the characters undergo a recasting. Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien)'s ongoing feelings for Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) could result in heartbreak, particularly as Xander and Sarah begin to reconcile. Lastly, Belle Black (Martha Madison) and Shawn-Douglas Brady (Brandon Beemer) may find their way back to each other as Shawn faces a life-threatening situation.

General Hospital saw a wave of key departures from the ABC soap opera in 2025. These included both heartbreaking actor deaths and character exits due to contractual issues and recasting.
Arguably the most poignant loss was the passing of Leslie Charleson, who had portrayed the character Monica Quartermain for almost 50 years. Charleson's passing led to the introduction of her character's long-lost sister, Ronnie Bard, played by One Life to Live's Erika Slazak. Denise Alexander, who first appeared on General Hospital 60 years ago as Leslie Webber, also passed away, with the soap planning to address her character's death in spring 2026. Sadly, Tristan Rogers, who played Robert Scorpio, also passed away in 2025. His death is also set to be addressed in spring 2026.
In terms of character exits, Jeff Kober's character, Cyrus Renault, was killed off in February 2025, followed by Eva La Rue's character Natalia Ramirez in July. Other significant departures include Rena Sofer's character Lois Cerullo and Sofia Mattsson as Sasha Gilmore.
The show also underwent several critical recasts, most notably Michael Corinthos, previously played by Chad Duell and now portrayed by Y&R alum Rory Gibson. Maxie Jones, formerly played by Kirsten Storms, was recast for a few episodes before going into a coma, with Storms set to return in early 2026.
One major recast was the swapping of WSB Chief Jack Brennan, originally played by Charles Major and then taken over by One Life to Live alumnus Chris McKenna. However, there's speculation that McKenna may also exit in 2026.

Bold and the Beautiful, a hit CBS soap opera, experienced its share of ups and downs in 2025. From unexpected departures to surprising returns, fans were kept on their toes throughout the year. Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who plays Steffy Forrester, took a maternity leave in July 2025, returning in September to a tumultuous storyline involving the shooting of Liam Spencer and the alleged death of Luna Nozawa, played by Lisa Yamada. However, many fans suspect Luna's death was staged, and anticipate her return in 2026.
Matthew Atkinson, a fan-favorite, made intermittent appearances as Thomas Forrester throughout the year. After a long absence, he returned in September 2025 for a confrontation with Brooke Logan, played by Katherine Kelly Lang, over her reunion with Ridge Forrester, played by Thorsten Kaye. However, Atkinson's presence on the show seems to be dwindling as he was already removed from the opening credits.
Henry Joseph Samiri, who plays Douglas Forrester, made a brief return in December 2025 for Hope Logan and Liam's wedding, played by Annika Noelle and Scott Clifton respectively. Hope was later forced to fire Deke, played by Harrison Cone, to accommodate Thomas' return.
In a strange twist, Joshua Hoffman, who portrayed RJ Forrester, disappeared without any explanation in 2024, with rumors of a possible recasting circulating in 2025. This has led to speculation about a new actor, Brian Nicoletti, possibly stepping into the role in 2026.
Murielle Hilaire, who plays Daphne Rose, left the show in May 2025 only to return in July, following the end of Hope and Carter Walton's engagement, played by Lawrence Saint-Victor.
Lastly, Jack Wagner's return as Nick Marone in mid-2025 didn't live up to the hype. Despite hints of a possible romance with Brooke, the storyline fizzled out, much to fans' disappointment.

Young and the Restless saw a flurry of departures, recasts, and dramatic plot twists in 2025. Key characters such as Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk), Ian Ward (Ray Wise), Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby), Amanda Sinclair (Michelle Morgan), and Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) exited the show, shaking up the dynamics of the fictional city of Genoa. It was a year of major changes, including a significant shift in the Newman family dynamics with the departure of Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and the recurring appearances of Traci and Ashley Abbott (Beth Maitland and Eileen Davidson).
Amidst the usual soap opera drama, the Young and the Restless bid farewell to Jordan Howard and Ian Ward early in 2025. The characters' final appearances were tied to Sharon Newman's (Sharon Case) hallucinations of Cameron Kirsten. Colleen Zenk's character Jordan met her end through a poisoned tea, while Ray Wise's Ian Ward was shot by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). A surprise twist ensued when Ian woke up in the ambulance, hinting at a potential return for the character.
Meanwhile, Linden Ashby's Cameron Kirsten exited after Sharon overcame her hallucinations. A more abrupt departure occurred with Michelle Morgan's Amanda Sinclair, whose last appearance was in September 2025. The show also saw the unexpected death of Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) and Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) in France, leaving fans disappointed.
Additionally, 2025 marked the end of Summer Newman's (Allison Lanier) journey. Lanier's contract ended in May 2025, and her character, Summer, decided to stay in Italy. The year also saw Beth Maitland and Eileen Davidson in and out as Traci Abbott and Ashley Abbott, with their storylines tied to the trauma inflicted by Alan Laurent's (Christopher Cousins) psychotic twin brother, Martin Laurent.
Amidst the comings and goings, Young and the Restless continues to captivate its audience with its intricate storytelling and unforgettable characters. It remains to be seen how these departures will shape the storylines of 2026, and which characters will return to the soap opera.

Days of our Lives, the legendary NBC soap opera, experienced a whirlwind of casting comings and goings throughout 2025. Galen Gering concluded his portrayal of Rafe Hernandez's doppelganger, Arnold Feniger, while Emily O'Brien's role as Teresa Donovan came to an end, leaving her to focus solely on Gwen Rizczech. Tamara Braun departed as Ava Vitali, and Madelineine Kenes was replaced by Rachel Boyd in the role of Sophia Choi. Alice Halsey took over the role of Rachel Black before leaving for a new project, and Billy Flynn's Chad DiMera was recast with Connor Floyd.
Another notable exit was Drake Hogestyn's character, John Black, following the actor's real-life passing from pancreatic cancer. His death triggered brief comebacks from familiar faces like Hope and Bo Brady, Carrie Brady, Anna DiMera, Will Horton, Paul Narita, Andrew Donovan, and Shane Donovan. Alison Sweeney also reprised her role as Sammy Brady on multiple occasions throughout the year.
Al Calderon's portrayal of Javi Hernandez concluded, with a recast yet to be revealed. Peyton Meyer's stint as Doug Williams III ended on a positive note, while Cary Christopher, who played young Thomas DiMera, also left the show.
The 60th anniversary episodes saw the return of many beloved characters, including Jennifer and Jack Horton, Mike and Marie Horton, Eli and Lani Price, and Steven Horton. With 2026 underway, fans eagerly anticipate further casting news and plot developments on Days of our Lives.

The conflict revolves around the trademark for a new fashion house, which Brooke insists she can't use despite Katie's claim to it. The resulting discord is seen as a consequence of Bill Spencer's (Don Diamont) influence by Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), but Brooke's attitude suggests an impact from Ridge Forrester's (Thorsten Kaye) superiority complex.

More Bold and Beautiful spoilers hint at an intensifying family feud, with Eric and Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) possibly siding with Katie over Brooke and Ridge. A General Hospital LEAK suggests fans may see the return of Sam McCall, previously portrayed by Kelly Monaco. The leak has stirred up speculation that General Hospital executive producer, Frank Valentini, is attempting to coax Monaco back to the ABC soap opera. Meanwhile, rumors of a leading man's exit have also surfaced. This leak comes from a reliable source with a strong track record for accurate predictions about the show's plot twists, including the reveal of Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) as Sam's killer and Veronica "Ronnie" Bard (Erika Slezak) as Monica's sister.
This GH leak suggests that a former scene partner of Monaco's is advocating for her return. This could potentially be Steve Burton, who played Jason Morgan and was Sam's primary scene partner before leaving the show, or Dominic Zamprogna, whose character Dante Falconeri had a significant fan base alongside Sam. The leak does not confirm the identity of the actress or her former scene partner, but it does point towards an actress who exited the show having a former scene partner still present, making Kelly Monaco a likely candidate.
General Hospital sees the leak also hints at the potential exit of a leading man. Speculation points towards the character Harrison Chase, played by Josh Swickard. With Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Chase's relationship in a turbulent state and hints of a possible spark between Dante and Brook Lynn, Chase's departure could be on the horizon.
