Young and the Restless spoilers see Ian Ward (Ray Wise) makes a significant move involving Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), leaving Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) utterly surprised. The New Year's Eve celebration at Neil Winters' jazz lounge sees Christine, dressed in gold, face Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), who is attending with her children, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei), and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). Phyllis's romantic life seems to be in a lull, with her only company being Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), who is strictly platonic. The party may also feature an appearance from Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) on the CBS soap opera.

Y&R spoilers see Danny Romalotti's return to Genoa City comes as a shock to Christine, who was not expecting him for New Year's. As they plan to spend the evening together, Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) celebrates with her grandparents, Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), at the new ranch house. Despite the festive mood, there's an impending sense of danger as Ian Ward makes a move against Tessa. Ian's sinister plan involves using Tessa to get close to Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), his adoptive daughter and escalating tensions between him and Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk).
