The Young and the Restless sees Cole Howard's (J Eddie Peck) health deteriorates, potentially leading to a hurried wedding between Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). During Nikki Newman's (Melody Thomas Scott) party, Kyle Abbott attempts to win Victor Newman's (Eric Braeden) approval by promising to sign a prenuptial agreement that includes a hefty fine should he break Claire's heart on the CBS soap opera.

Y&R sees Cole's sudden illness raises concerns, leading to speculation that it might be a life-threatening condition. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) invites Cole to move back to her home, only for him to collapse during the party. Victoria and Claire are shocked, and Claire rushes to inform Kyle. Victor Newman offers to send his private physician to check on Cole, but things look bleak. Claire may decide to marry Kyle without Victor's approval, especially if she learns of Kyle's prenuptial agreement.
