General Hospital sees Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) make a shocking confession to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) about her night with Jagger Cates (Adam Harrington). Carly is notorious for her well-intentioned but often disastrous schemes, and viewers are left wondering whether she is about to embark on another one. 

Carly's recent insider trading mishap on GH, which cost her $5 million, led to her friend Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) ending up in prison. Despite this, Carly seems undeterred. Carly's potential target this time is FBI agent John Cates. However, Carly is unaware that Jagger used her as leverage to force Jason into working undercover for the FBI. 

Despite the tension between Carly and Jagger, there seems to be an undercurrent of attraction. Actors Laura Wright and Steve Burton have both stated that their characters are likely to remain platonic friends, but Jagger's frequent appearances in Carly's storyline suggest a potential romantic development. Carly's scheming may lead her into a dangerous liaison with the FBI agent, jeopardizing her freedom on the ABC soap opera.
