General Hospital sees Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) find himself in a loveless state, with no potential romantic prospects in Port Charles. Interview statements from both Burton and Laura Wright, who plays Carly Corinthos, suggest their characters will remain in the friend zone on the ABC soap opera. 

Longtime characters such as Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), are all tied up in their own storylines, leaving no room for a reunion with Jason. 

Meanwhile, other single female characters on GH like Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) do not seem to be a potential fit for Jason. This has sparked speculation about a possible new character or a return of an old flame like Keesha Ward, Jason's first love, to ignite some romance in Jason's life.
