General Hospital spoilers reveal that Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) lies to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), setting off a series of events that lead to Monaco's departure from the show. The lie revolves around Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) killing John Jagger Cates (Adam Harrington). Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is implicated due to her daughter Kristina Corinthos-Davis' (Kate Mansi) actions. 

GH spoilers also show that Sam is certain of her mother's innocence and is set on proving it to get Alexis exonerated. Sam's pursuit of justice leads her to dive into dangerous waters to recover the gun Alexis discarded, which she believes will clear her mother's name.
