General Hospital sees Ava Jerome (Maura West) finds herself in a financial crisis, owing the IRS two million dollars. With her art galleries and main income sources at stake, Ava is desperate to find a solution. Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) both refuse Ava's requests for loans on the ABC soap opera. 

Ava's money woes are further complicated when Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) overhears Ava's plea to Alexis and uses the information to stir up trouble with her father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). After a heated confrontation with Sonny, Ava realizes that his health is a potential vulnerability. With her back against the wall, Ava may resort to selling information about Sonny to one of his many enemies, potentially putting him in jeopardy. Meanwhile, a horrific car crash caused by Kristina raises the stakes as Ava suspects either Sonny or Kristina may have been behind the attempt on her life.
