"Days of Our Lives" spoilers will say farewell to Doug Williams, portrayed by the late Bill Hayes, passes away in an upcoming episode. The episode, slated for Thanksgiving Day, marks the end of an era for the iconic character after a significant 54-year run on the show. 

Bill Hayes' real-life wife, Susan Seaforth Hayes, who plays Julie Williams on the show, shared heartwarming scenes with the character Doug Williams in his last appearance. 

DOOL spoilers reveal that the storyline follows the same timeline as the actor's real-life departure; Hayes passed away at the age of 98 in January. 

Days fans will also see a host of characters, including Jack Devereaux (Matthew Ashford), Jennifer Devereaux (Cady McClain), Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price (Sal Stowers), among others, returning to Salem for the farewell. The following week, the series will mark its 15,000th episode with a tribute to Doug Williams and Bill Hayes' legacy on "Days of Our Lives."
